Shane Richard Walker, SMS alumnus, Class of 2015, passed from this life on May 4, 2020, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Shane was a member of our inaugural STEM club in 2012, and he was a member on our first Robotics team in 2014. Shane loved to create things that solved problems, so we want to honor Shane’s memory in a special way by dedicating a 3D Printer Station in our new STEM building to him. We will unveil the 3D Printing Station, along with a commemorative plaque and picture of Shane, during the grand opening of our new STEM building this fall. We hope that future SMS problem solvers will remember Shane’s creativity and follow in his footsteps.

The Walker family extends their thanks to the St. Michael’s community for the outpouring of support they have experienced in the past two weeks.  The names of all contributors will be forwarded to the Walker family. Thank you for your generosity.
